the ambiance? who cares about ambiance! yah the joint is a little 'bare bones' but its perfectly fine. liu's has some wacky fixtures and decorations, but the place is a neighborhood joint. there are drawings by a bunch of elementary kids on the wall.. its more a community vibe. the service is good. they bring the food fairly quickly and are always helpful. and the food is pretty good too. while its not the best chinese food, for the prices, the AWESOME. try the chow fun here! green beans and prawns is really good too. so if you want some 5 star, high-class, high-priced restaurant dont go to liu's. but if you want to go out with your friend for a tasty bite and dont have much dinero to spare, liu's is the place to be!

With a name like Liu's Kitchen, you know the ambience isn't going to be that great. My expectations were certainly met here. When I walked into the place, I felt like I had entered a pet store with tables. The restaurant has a lot of cheap looking neon decorations and these weird plastic tubes that run from floor to ceiling carrying water.<p>The service was also not great. When we sat down at our table, the waiter brought a small bean sprout side dish. We gobbled it up immediately and asked for more, but when the waiter brought us more, it was cold and seemed like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for at least a day.<p>As for the food, well, it is so-so.
